hey guys, taking my grandkids to lake Norman next week for vacation, many of whom I have taught to be avid fisherman. Staying at a house in Huntersville with a couple of nice docks. What kind of fish can we reasonably expect to catch and what baits do you recommend, both live and artificial? Thanks

Spotted Bass are everywhere and abundant with some LMB as well. Also Bream, Crappie, Perch, White Bass, and an occasional Striper. Catfishing is good for Blues, Channels, and Flatheads.

I fish square bills and plastics for bass and cut chicken thighs with garlic salt for catfish. Cut bait, shad, or live bream are also effective. I don't fish much for panfish on Norman but when I do it's with a fly rod.
