I think we need a spot to post some news about what's happening in your area. Post as much or as little as you would like. I don't want to limit this to yak only because I like to surf fish and shore fish with the kids.

I'll go first. I'll make it short because I'm planning on writing an "official" fishing report as an article.

I put in at North Point State Park this morning. The target species was Striped Bass. There was no bait to be seen or birds working the water. I trolled and threw a bucktail tipped with a Gulp mullet and a Rapala X-Rap. No luck. I also put a rod on the bottom with chicken livers and caught five of these:
