The Lake Charles Kayak Fishing (soon to be) Club had another group fishing trip today. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend (work always gets in the way of the important things). I would like to share a post to the group facebook page by one of the new members:

"Today was great, no matter about the wind or lack of fish, the guys made the day. The attitudes these guys have in this club will set the mark for others to reach... thanks for all the help"

I was very excited to read that post! Great guys just sharing the addiction... This "attitude" seems to be a trend in the kayak fishing community as a whole.

It seems like it doesn't matter where you go, you can always find a brother/sister kayaker willing to lend a hand or help out.

It was his first trip too.

Our attitudes and character echo. I believe that's why we have many people gravitating to our group.

We had what? 4-5 our first trip 11-12 our next and 8 with 6 brand new kayakers last weekend. Many more wanted to come but it was a short notice.

Exciting times.

This good vibe is something that local clubs should strive to maintain. These people will spread the word to others and the club will continue to grow because people enjoy the events even if the fishing isn't great.
