I am looking for a place to fish the last part of September. Also looking to hammock camp(Backwoods camp in the forest). Any ideas? I am from the Louisville area and am not sure about the particular stretches of water that will not lead me down a rapid. Also where the best put in and take out points are. Usually I take a 4 day trip to Green River. The river through Mammoth cave is nice and slow moving. Usually fish for bass.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was thinking about Wood Creek Lake, or maybe rock castle river. Anyone know anything about these places?

I wish i could help but i'm fairly new to this myself. I've been staying pretty close to Louisville. Lake Cumberland is the only place i ventured out to and i stayed in a campground them. Hopefully someone else will answer cause i'm interested myself.

If you are on Facebook try joining the Kentucky Kayak Anglers group and posting your question there as well. There are lots of members who fish all over the state.

What can anyone tell me about the Big South Fork. We would like to backwoods camp and fish for a few days.
