Was able to knock the skunk off the new JK Cuda 14 today on Lake Michigan out of Portage. Picked up a small coho while flat lining a gold/red Hot n Tot 50' back.

The waves dropped from 11 footers Friday night to 0-1 foot today. Bite was totally off though according to the conservation officer I spoke to. Water was a little murky still nearshore. Being this was only 2nd trip and my fish out of a kayak I'm pretty stoked. Feel pretty good about the boat's layout. Just waiting for my Cellblock and Blackpak to arrive and she's golden.

Congrats on the coho! I'm with Mike I really want to get up there for that bite. But, I'm in a crappie tourney for April and the walleye bite is about to turn on around here soon. Too much fishing to do and not enough time or good weather this time of year.

I would like to get back to go after those tasty coho. Same predicament though, Walleye, Pike and Crappie bite starting here.
