Last week, NCKFA members-Chris Tryon of HLP, Nathan Wiles of Graham, Tim Norris of Zebulon and Dave Hagerman of Rolesville made a trip down to FL to fish with our Malibu Kayak friends from Jacksonville, FL area. We fished Browns Creek in Jacksonville on Friday and battled 20-25 mph winds picking up some small trout, bluefish and flounder. On saturday morning, we left JAX around 4:30am and drove down to Mosquito Lagoon near Titusville and tried to get out on Mosquito Lagoon. However, the strong winds off the Atlantic forced us to move back over to the Indian River Lagoon thinking we would lose the winds....wrong. It began at 20-25 and then turned to 30-35mph winds that we fought all day long. Chris picked up this nice trout back in the creeks, Dave picked up some trout and reds.

Eventhough the fishing was bad due to the winds, we had fun fishing with new friends and got to celebrate Chriss Birthday on Saturday

Tony Hart, Jason, Kevin and Buddy Freeman will be coming up to the NCKFA Fall Classic this coming October to fish NCs coast for the first time.

Already looking to go back to FL to seek those bull reds
