I recently purchased the Patagonia Stealth Atom 15L Sling Pack. I wanted a minimalist pack that I could take when I am kayak fishing, wading the flats or in the skiff. It has a large waterproof pouch, which is a must on the SUP board, and a "large enough" main compartment that holds my Cliff's Bugger Beast Jr Fly Box. I really like how this thing is laid out!

I was with you on "minimalist" until you spun it around to show more than I carry for plugs and jigs in my Plano three layer 3700 box pack.

Here's my wading pack and what I also carry on my kayak. Three fly boxes, a leader wallet (tied leaders), leader straightener, some tippet spools, nippers, forceps, Gink, indicator/floats and a notebook.

yeah. I think that's a great pack for spending the day wading or hiking into a spot and doing some serious fishing, but I wouldn't consider that "minimalist" in any way. jmho

Actually, the Plano 3700 series box will not fit in this pack... in fact, it doesn't come close. I tried to fit one. Maybe the video angle is a little deceptive.

As far as gear, I'm packing saltwater flies. Big flies = big box. The box I have is 10" by 6.5" by 2.75". Which means there aren't many flies in there at all. The box just fits snug though. Sooo, it works perfect for me.
