Looks like activity dropped off of here significantly. Can anyone tell me the names of the other kayak fishing forums everyone has switched to?

Most traditional forums are dead these days. Facebook has taken over much of online discussion. While FB might be popular, I still am not excited about it. They glean too much personal information and they have had some serious security breaches.

I do still check the following kayak specific forums often:
www.hobie.com/forums/
www.kayak-anglers.com/forum/
www.lake-link.com/
www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php
www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?action=forum
texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php
www.yakangler.com/forum/index

There are a few other fly fishing forums that I visit, but the above have a kayak specific portion to them.

I will probably break down and join FB, not accept any friends and just use it to read BUT I hate the idea still.

Most forums are pretty much dead, or die off slowly after a quick start... except for people like myself who are old timers, old school, and kind of stayed away form FB and other social media..

The younger generation got hookes on the blast, social media, style of communication. They have moved on or never go into the interactive style of forums... its all about FB, but most younger folks (younger to me is the tee through 35 generation to me) have sort of moved on and seem to have settled on InstaGram.
They like to just post it and forget it...

I still follow and check mainly local to me paddle site's, YakAngler might be the only wide spread forum I still check. I have seen a lot come and go, and many that spawned from other popular sites diluting the busy forums.

I have asked myself that same question. I think Facebook has taken a lot away. I still check in to yakangler, because I still feel it has great potential and has a wealth of information.

I too am an old timer in terms of social media. I only look at this and Bass Boat Central.

No other Yak forum.

It's still a month until Yak season hereabouts.

Bass Resource is my go to for all thing bass. Facebook is turning me off with all the drama.
YouTube is changing with all the new rules.
Yak Angler can be the only forum if they play their cards right.

I belong to several forums from bowhunting to bass fishing and even one for work. But I only go to one kayak site and that's this one. One thing I've noticed is sites tend to fluctuate from time to time. Guys get busy with life and don't say much but just come and go until something catches their eye. Then as time passes, the fire gets stoked again. The strange thing is I've noticed it sometimes happens to the entire group all at once which is strange. Kind of a herd mentality I guess. Right now I have a bunch of things weighing heavily on my mind so I just check in from time to time.

Facebook has killed most forums...I must belong to 15 different kayak groups on Facebook.
