Unless you come up with one that doesn't require my e-mail here is as far as I could read:

Yes (we have two kayaks).

On the roof

No, I open doors on both sides and don't want folks having casual access to my kayak(s). I don't see side mount as safe or practical - visibility, drive throughs, vehicle access.

Normally two, occasionally one.

Yes, I drive on the interstate.

I have raised rails with factory cross-bars PLUS Thule cross bars and pads.

I assume you are talking about a rack assist like the Thule Hullavator or Malone Telos that pulls out and drops (assisted) so you can load the kayak and then place it in a normal roof rack style carry position? Your question about a "side carry" would not be sensible otherwise. I think "side load and roof carry" is the way to go. Especially with passengers.

No idea why the survey requires our email address unless your planning either selling the list or spamming the participants.

I'm skeptical about any survey that wants youto give out your email, name/bday, or other info... but thats life in the big city now-days... and if any of you think your email address is private you are living in a shell.

There is always room for a new, improved, or less expensive gadget in this or any other hobby. When I started it was mostly DIY everything.. today it's a go out and buy it cost is no object hobby... thats progress. I'm still a kiss theory person and DIY anything I can but if its actually a good product I'll bite.

Krash, emails ain't private for sure, but these phishing operations gather large #'s of email addresses and then sell them in a large block to spammers. And yup it's still happening and if you don't believe it, yer living in a shell.

Not living in a shell.. and you are right information is money. Its hard to protect yourself and I also believe in doing what you can to protect your self, but today the only way to do that is disconnect the internet from all your devices. I generally also agree and do not participate in a post that ask for personal information especially surveys..

It’s got to be a scam or something. Why has the OP not commented on these posts? Very curious...
