Hi folks...

I'm Kokak and just got into kayak fishing. I have been fishing for almost 40 years now and just picked up a kayak a few weeks ago.I also just started working in a new office here in Phoenix AZ.

I have had a Float Tube for more than 10 years now and am tired of being pushed around by the wind and always having cold legs, so I got a kayak. Actually I was going through the local BassPro with the wife one weekend when I heard an announcement about a Kayak Fishing seminar about to start. So I sat in on it and I was hooked.

I started combing Craigs list and finally, after a couple of weeks bought my 1st Kayak. It's a Future Beach Angler 144. Not a great Kayak but for $225.00 with paddle and a good PFD, I concider myself ahead of the game.

I just purchased a new seat, the GTS Expedition. I also just got a pair of Gear Trac 16" rails with RAM fishing rod holders, that I will be installing this week. I will be posting some pics a later this week and hopefully have some of the Kayak on the water.

Congrats! You're already talkin' gear trac and rodholders, sounds like your hooked pretty hard.

Did I also mention I already made my Crate (with lid)...

I figure; other than a Fish Finder (RAM mount of course) and maybe a RAM mount for my old RINO GPS, I am just about done. Well maybe a Anchor Trolley and then...

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you've been bitten by the bug, good news is that it's not terminal, bad news is that there's no cure.

Sure doesn't sound like a newbie talking to me! Congrats on the yak! I had a float boat for 7 years that did keep my legs out of the water but you sure couldn't row against the current very easily. You'll never look back now. And welcome aboard!
