Finally got close to designing what I wanted to help keep water from finding its way into my haul where I ran the transducer and power cables up through. Fired the 3D printer up this evening and voila, out came my weatherproof housing in ABS. Couple screws, some silicone, and snapped the front on.

that's great, looks good... but, sort of reinventing the wheel... Hobie makes a through-hull wiring kit. Works good and easy enough to do. I did a how-to on it a couple years ago.

Thanks for taking a look.
I made my through-hull housing starting with simply a square in an online CAD program and built it from there keeping busy during down time in the evenings/rain days; I had the 3D printer/filament; and most importantly mine is chartreuse green not plain black. So, I don’t see it as reinventing the wheel. I was just customizing it.

I hear ya. Custom is good and it's cool that you have a 3D printer to mess with!

It is holding up nicely being garage kept. I have had no time to get out as of lately. It did make it through a week of fishing in June at the outer banks and worked keeping the water out.
