I ordered a Vibe Sea Ghost 130 online. It delivered to my house yesterday. When I unwrapped it I found that the rudder mounting pin had poked a hole in on top of the cargo area.

What would you do?

If I decide to keep it and mend the hole with silicone, what do you think a fair ask is of Vibe to make it right?

I haven't called Vibe yet.

Nearest dealer is 5 hours away....

Sorry to hear about the damage . Vibe customer service is second to none . I think your going to be surprised how well they take care of you . Please let us know how it turns out .

holy smokes yeah, call them and have them fix it or replace it. You can fix it yourself if you really want to but don't use silicone, it won't hold for long. You would have to weld in some plastic. Find some hdpe (that's #2 plastic) and use that or get a plastic welding kit from harbor freight or a hardware store. But if you do that it will void any warranty so just call them and tell them what happened. They'll make it right and maybe alter their shipping/packaging so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
