I was at I-CAST this past year talking to a good friend of mine Capt. Eric Chiocher from the t.v show "The Ultimate Catch" when he introduced me to the guys from YETI Coolers. I have been in the market for a small cooler for the yak to use on long trips and that is when I saw the Roadie. Not only did the roadie have the size, and even color I was looking for but I was told it could hold ice for a number of days!

As you guys know I fish out of a Heritage redfish 14 that is tan in color, well wouldn't you know that Yeti makes the Roadie in "Desert tan" the same color as my yak. Now the real test, would it fit behind my seat in the storage area? Well after thinking hard for about thirty seconds I buy one. Let me tell you it is one of the best buys I have made in a long time, when I got the Roadie home the first thing I did was take my Redfish off the rack and try to fit the Roadie behind the seat. I think YETI made the 15 quart Roadie for my yak, it fits like a glove.
So now for the real test how long will it hold ice? I placed two bottles of water and a few cans of soda in the cooler and filled it up with ice. The temp out side was about 90 deg. for the next few days so I just left the cooler in the back of my truck to see just how long the ice would last. By the second day the ice had not melted at all, day three still no real change. Day four drinks still ice cold and the ice is just starting to melt. Day five Still more than half of the ice is still frozen, day six 1/4 of the ice is frozen but the water is ice cold. Day seven The ice is almost gone but the water is still ice cold as well as the drinks. On day eight the ice is gone however the water is still very cold keeping the drinks Ice cold. So just over a week in 90+ degree weather and I was shocked at how cold the Roadie stayed.

Chuck I'm re-posting this as an Article, nice job! I've just contacted YETI to get a media package on the Roadie.
