For those of you who don't live in Striper country last weekend a potential world record Striper was caught in Long Island Sound. Unfortunately it wasn't from a kayak.

Pending certification the fish weighed in at 81.8lbs and would break the existing all tackle record by 3 lbs which has stood for 30 years. When it was caught there were 2 broken off hooks in it's mouth. Below is a video of someone who claims one of the broken leaders was his. Also some links to the articles. That would have been a blast in a kayak.
