Question: I'm having trouble uploading photos to an album. Is there any size limitation other then the 1MB. Most of mine appear to be in the 1MB-900K range and last night now of them uploaded and the one I'm doing now just sits there. Answer: Please see the following post "trouble uploading photos to an album" Question: I cant upload photos with my iPhone or iPad. Answer: Currently the iOS platform (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) does not permit file upload via the safari browser. This is a limitation set by Apple Inc themselves on these devices. We do not have solution for this at the moment. Question: Can I change my username? Answer: Because of the many requests we get to change usernames, we will now be limiting username changes to YakAngler Supporters. Answer: You must go to yaksocial > profile > forumsettings Once there is you don't want to add your twitter or flickr icons just click save. When you click the save button your Gender, Location, And Birthday will be automatically pulled from your YakSocial Profile. Question: How do I create a poll?  Question: Can I add banners to my forum signature? Answer: Yes you may add a banner or images to your forum signature, but we ask that you keep them to a maximum size of 468px by 150px.  Question: How big can my signature be in the forum? Answer: Forum signatures must not exceed 468px by 150px. This does NOT apply to our Staff members. Question: How can I post an image in my article comments? Answer: Please see guide "How to add photos in the article comments". Question: How can I post an image in the forums? Question: What are the other classes or ranks and how do we keep earning them? Answer: There are 2 different ranks or classes in YakAngler: 1 is your forum rank which is determined by how many posts you make and only displayed in the forums. New Fish # of Posts 0 Shore Bound # of Posts 10 Pier Pounder # of Posts 30 YakHorn # of Posts 150 YakAngler # of Posts 500 Master YakAngler # of Posts 1000 The YakAngler Elite # of Posts 2000 2 is your overall community rank or Niche, this is displayed in both the forums and YakSocial. Your Niche is calculated by your actions on the site. You get points for many actions, creating a group in YakSocial, posting in the forums, adding pictures to your profile etc. For more information about the YakSocial Niche see this breakdown guide. Question: How do I send Private Messages or PM's? Answer: You can send Private Messages "PM", from either the forum or the community by clicking on the appropriate icons see the images below.   Question: Is there a way to get email notification on updates of the forum or discussion boards? Answer: By default any discussions or announcements that happen in your YakSocial groups you will receive a notification via your registered email. If you would like to subscribe to a topic in the forum you just need to click on the subscribe button like in the image below.  Question: Is there a way to get an alert that would let you know via email when a new topic is posted? Kinda like subscribing to a topic, but at the forum level Answer: If you would like to subscribe to a category in the forum, first click on the forum you want to subscribe to like "Water Cooler" once in the "Topics in Category:" you just need to click on the subscribe button like in the image below.  |
