Hello everyone I have an issue with my Emotion Kayaks Grand Slam Angler. The center hatch leaks alot does anyone else have this issue? I'm to the point where I might try to swap the hatch out or seal it with some marine goop and be done with it. I also find the front bow hatch a pain in the ass, and it leaks as well. The Grand Slam has a round center hatch, right? (never seen one before..)

If so, check to make sure the seal is in good condition. It should rise up to make contact with both parts of the hatch - the ring and the lid. I'm also unsure of this, but it might need the bag there to help make the seal. You can experiment easily with a garden hose...

The front hatch I've never been impressed with because its held with bungies. Even nylon strapping can be problematic. I'd probably make one out of fiberglass and be done with the original.

We have several "Emotion Sponsored" YakAnglers but I'm not sure if they will chyme in on this or not. The center hatch on the models "non angler" we had while in Florida tended to leak, but I've heard that the Angler models leak even more. <!-- s:wtf: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wtf.gif" alt=":wtf:" title="Wtf?" /><!-- s:wtf: --> Wonder if you can replace the center hatch with an after market one. I'm with you on the bow hatch, pretty useless.
