Does anyone know how to tighten an Anchor Wizard? I installed mine today with a 1.5 lb anchor. When I wind it in it slips and does not reel in the anchor. Purchased form an online Ebay store no returns

Call the manufacturer and see what they say.

You can also go to their site and see if there is an owner's manual that you can download and check it.

I bought one, but it's not installed yet, sorry - not much help. Good luck.

The winding unit has a freefall and anti reverse clutch. Basically you let the unit freefall so the anchor hits bottom and then you lock it in place by turning it back a quarter turn. From what I understand there is no slip clutch. After it is locked you should be able to crank the anchor back up. Are you locking it or just letting the line play out to the end?

I just bought and installed one, not that long ago. Maybe I can shine some light on this.

To deploy, simply turn the handle, counterclockwise, and the anchor should free fall.

Once it hits bottom, turn the handle back the other way until the line has a little tension on it. THIS IS IMPORTANT: Unless there's a little resistance on the line, the clutch will not engage properly. In this case, you may have to pull on the line a little with one hand, while turning the handle with your other hand.

When it's time to let up anchor, just turn the handle, clockwise until it's fully raised.

Hope this helps. If you need further clarification, just let me know.
