Not in a yak, but I got a chance to fish for peacock bass in Miami. The fight is everything they say it is.

That is a fish I would like to catch. Missed my chance when I lived in Florida, but will be back one day and knock that off my list.

Nice fish... kayak or boats not needed...

For all those who wish to catch one you don't need much.. even if you are just passing through Miami or Ft. Lauderdale skip lunch, go by a wallymart and buy an elcheapo rod/reed combo and a Rapala black/gold and toss it in pretty much any canal, lake, or pond West of I-95 and you have a very high chance of getting yer-self one... when done just play that elcheapo combo forward to a local kid or homeless person.

Kill 2 birds with one stone, so to say, one item off yer bucket list and kindness to others.
