Felt good to be back in the kayak after a long winter here in Minnesota. Decided to look for some bottom feeders, Check it out!

I'm curious , did you anchor off before battling big fish ?

I'm debating on whether to use my kayak or not for monster catfishing . I'm talking 20-30-40 lbs. catfish . I picture hooking up and being pulled down the river into the next zip code . Sure would be easier placing the bait exactly where I want it though . I'll be using saltwater tackle , so there shouldn't be any line or tackle breakage . Would probably be a fun ride , but most of the fishing will be done at night on waters I'm not familiar with .
