This is a brackish water tidal river that does have tides. It is a large river about 3 miles across at this point. Shrimping is good and Manatee are common. The Bass and Redfish can be large depending on the time of year. It is good area to fly fish as well and bedding Bream fishing is excellent, some of the best I've seen. No bait is sold here but can be cast netted depending on prey. There is limited parking and a historical park next to the dock as well..
