James River launch at Arcadia has an established ramp but it is VERY steep so backing down to the water may not be an option. 4X4 is recommended to go to water level. The run from this launch has some nice riffles in the class II range. Fishing is excellent for small mouth and panfish with a chance to hook into a Musky. Take out is on the left about 4 miles in or can float to the town of Glasgow for an extended trip of about 17 miles..
