I fish here often and enjoy myself everytime. For anyone who has never been to Daniel Island, I'd say go. It is a nice community with a small town feel. Ther are many parks and picnic areas close by to the pier and the locals are extermely friendly. There are Sheepshead near the pier and flats scattered along both shores nearby that hold schools of Speckled Trout and Redfish. There is also a community of Oyster Toad fish that hang out along the main supports of the J.B. Edwards bridge. Next time you are in Charleston give the DI Pier a look.
