Fishing in this area is pretty good, the water stays clean because of the tidal flow. You have access to the Oleta River State Park. The put in for this spot is right before the parking lots. You can also rent kayaks at this location if you don't have one. You can catch everything from tarpon to trout at this location.

Hidden Gem in the middle of Miami!

This spot is a hidden gem in the middle of Miami, I typically launch by the mangroves and head into North Biscayne Bay. I've caught plenty of tarpon in the bay. If the wind picks up you can head into the Oleta River and stay relatively protected by the spoil islands in that area. You'll find a ton of different species in this area. The place can get pretty busy during the weekends so I will usually only go here during the week.
