One of the best fishing locations for a kayak fisherman. Ramp is in pretty good shape and it is an easy launch. As it is a lake, there are no tides, the only fluctuation in the water is when they draw down the lake, normally in the spring. There are lots of gators in the lake, be mindful of that. The fishing is phenomenal. If you go to the end of the lake away from the dam, you can actually catch bass and other freshwater fish as the salinity level drops.

Six Mile Landing at Guana Lake

One of the best fishing locations in north FL. If you have never been there, you owe it to yourself to fish here. The ramp is in very food shape. There is not a ton of parking (I believe there are 12-15 parking spots) but it is a fairly secure area. There is great fishing near the dam, and you have to be aware of the bank anglers chunking 2 oz chunks of lead. They have no problems throwing wherever they want not paying a lot of attention. If you go opposite the dam to the other end, you can even find bass and panfish as the salinity levels drop. Boats are allowed, but are limited to 10 hp. Just a great place to fish from a kayak.
