This boat ramp gives you access to the calm mouth of the Umatilla river. There is plenty of salmon, steelhead, and carp in this body of water to keep you busy but if you wish to go into the Columbia river then be ready for the current.

Fall Salmon

I like to go here when the salmon start running up the rivers. Usually the Umatilla cools faster then the Columbia so the salmon and steelhead and resting in there. It makes for some really fun sleigh rides. If you dare to go into the Columbia then there is even more chances for salmon and walleye. The river runs fast so you have to be careful and ready to paddle back.
