I fished here for the first time just this past weekend in a fishing derby. If you are driving here heading east from the 138 expect a slow drive with some sharp hairpin curves so be careful. The lake is located in a beautiful location surrounded by tall cypress trees and cabins and homes looking down at the lake. Launching my kayak was kind of tough with such a small launch area and you have to drive down a narrow roadway and wait in line to get inspected before launching. It is a tight fit driving a car to drop off a yak and after dropping off a yak you must drive your car back to the main road and try finding a parking spot which isn't easy.
One of the best things about this lake for kayak fishing is that only kayaks, canoes, float tubes and electric motor boats only are allowed.
