To park there is a $4 fee, pay at the campground. There is a dam next to the Jim Beam factory that has a mandatory portage. This section of the Elkhorn has many rapids and shouldn't be run by the inexperienced kayak angler. It's a 7.5 mile trip to the Canoe Ky Upper Put In.
