There is a strong current around Knapps Point, but it can be worth the effort. There are numerous fish that hang out around the drop off right off shore and where the bay meets the Gulf. Big Redfish, Snook, Trout, Grouper, Tarpon and a ton of Shark can be caught right offshore here.
