Jiggs Landing has just gone through a major renovation from being a parking lot with a ramp to a family park with a ramp. (check out the satelite view) Parking is a ways from the ramp but there is a staging area for kayaks that is close to the water. Kayaks have a launch facility of thier own so there is no issues with power boaters. The lake is formed by a dam at the far end and is fed by the Braden River. I nice paddle up the river will bring you to Linger Lodge, a nice lunch spot before the trip back down the river. Round trip is several hours. Fishing is good with Lunkers and pan fish. Oh yeah, gators live there too. I have never been botherd by one but they are there.

    • Any anchor can get stuck in rocks. I hooked a "loose" stump with a Bruce and was eventually able to raise it. That was a 20 ft boat - I'd tie it up...

    • I cannot stress enough what Hancock said above. I live in KY, grew up on the water out east. A kayak in the gulf can get real sketchy real quick....

    • The towers that clamped to the roof tore off. I'd been using that rack for years. Never had an issue. Until the day I did have an issue.
