Lake Champlain is a diverse fishery for many types of fresh water species. One hundred miles in length, the northern end is wide and the main lake can be treacherous, but the southern end is about a half mile wide for thirty miles. Fun to fish the edges on both Vermont and New York side. Fish early spring ice out for lake trout, and all summer for LMB, SMB. Check the Vermont State web site for the many access points along the lake, and state parks for camping. http://www.vtfishandwildlife.com/
