Right outside the park is Quintana Landing, but kayaks can be launched from the beach at the park. If you put in at the south-end of the beach, cut across the canal (watch out for powerboats) and you can fish the areas inside the breakers for trout in the fall and possibly winter. This spot is known as "the Cove", and is quite popular with the locals. Put in on the north side of the beach and fish the area known as Shark Bayou. Marsh with some small canals running through it. Can hold Reds when the area is salty enough..
