North Causeway is wide and well maintained boat ramp. There is a small unimproved area that some kayakers use. I don't recommend it, as it is very shallow and can be a pain on low tide. The boat ramp is an easier launch, and the boaters are always happy to make room for kayakers. This area is a boaters paradise, so make sure you have lights, flag and whistle. The flats to the north are awesome for trout, redfish and snook. Snook are caught under the bridge at night. There are great fish to be had on the flats on the south side of the bridge as well..
