If you wish to fish the South Causeway for snook or tarpon, this is the closest ramp. Also if you want to fish the shipping turning basin for goliath grouper or sharks, this is the spot. The ramp is a regular boat ramp, and parking can be a premium as there is a restaurant sharing the parking lot, but I have never actually had an issue parking. I can see that during dinner hour, there might be some competition so be aware. There is plenty of boat traffic around the bridge, so make sure you have your signal equipment..
