There is a regular boat ramp, but also a kayak-only launch as well. You are allowed to back right up to the water to launch, and then park in the paved parking area. The park opens at sunrise, and closes at sunset officially--but I have been to the park at all hours and it has never been locked up. The flats both north and south of the launch are trout and redfish paradise. The snook fishing along the mangroves can be great as well. Grass flats, pot holes and spoil islands with mangroves are both north and south..

    • Water in kayaks ?
    • I have a sit-in. I keep a bail bucket (a square-lipped quart-sized dinghy bailer) and a sponge. I like to keep dry once inside.
