The Bandit NXT 100 by Pelican is yet another cheap and cheerful kayak that is designed to get you out on the water and having fun with the least amount of fuss. This makes it great for beginners and people who only want to go out fishing occasionally, it also means that experienced kayak anglers can safely ignore it. It's by no means a bad kayak, just not one that has much to offer to people who are serious about fishing.

The Pelican Bandit NXT 100 is a single person sit on top kayak that is designed for recreational use. This means that it works best when paddling calm to light surf waters. Since the kayak is very easy to paddle and offers great stability, it is very newcomer friendly and perfect for beginners. This kayak is constructed with RAM-X impact resistant materials and features a twin-arched multi-chine design for the hull.

In terms of comfort features, the Bandit NXT 100 features a molded seat with ErgoForm backrest that is padded and adjustable. It also comes with molded footrests for additional comfort. To make it easier to transport the kayak to and from the shore it has carry handles and a manageable weight of 40 lb. The Bandit NXT 100 can hold a maximum capacity of about 300 lb, and has a large storage tank well with bungee cord to help secure items. Another notable feature of this kayak is its dual position bottle holder.

The durable design of the Bandit NXT means it can handle the occasional bump and scrape without serious damage, which is great for beginners. However, the lack of rod holders means that some after-market modifications would be required to make it more convenient for serious fishing. It's not a very fast kayak, but it does have more than enough storage space in the back. However, it lacks any type of waterproof storage, which might be an issue. Overall, this is not a bad kayak for beginners who want an inexpensive and easy to handle kayak for testing out the waters, so to speak.
