While it is impossible to go wrong with a kayak that is fully devoted to angling, there is still a market for smaller, cheaper kayaks that can be used for recreational purposes too. The Trailblazer 100 NXT by Pelican is one of these kayaks. It is available at a wallet friendly price and while it is not something that you will want to take out for a fishing tournament, it is perfectly adequate for spending some time on the water every now and then.

The Trailblazer 100 NXT is a 10 foot kayak that is 28 inches wide and has a height of 14 inches. It can comfortably seat a single person and weighs about 35.6 lb while offering a maximum capacity of 275 lb. This kayak is designed around a twin-arched multi-chine hull, which provides it with the stability that makes it as useful for fishing as it is for recreational use. The cockpit width of this sit-inside kayak is 20.5 inches and 42.5 inches in length, which isn't hugely spacious, but comfortable enough. To further add to this comfort this kayak has an adjustable ERGOFORM padded backrest with seat pad, which can help you to maintain an efficient paddling position. In addition, the Trailblazer 100 NXT also comes with molded footrests.

Due to the budget price of the Trailblazer 100 NXT, it doesn't come with a huge amount of extras, but it does cover all of the essentials. Since it is constructed from RAM-X impact-resistant material, the Trailblazer 100 NXT is extremely durable and this kayak is suitable for calm to light surf waters. It is a very beginner friendly kayak that is easy to paddle and tracks well. The cockpit table of the Trailblazer 100 NXT has a bottle holder as well as separate, accessory compartments, with an additional bottle holder in the seat. It also comes with a stern storage tank well that has bungee cord to secure your items. In addition, it is available in a couple of different color combinations, such as cyan/black, fire red/black, lime/blue, magenta/yellow, and seafoam/yellow.
