Tequila GTX Angler

The Tequila GTX Angler is one of the most versatile and affordable kayaks in the Point 65 modular fishing range. It is a 9'8" solo fishing kayak, but can easily be expanded to a 13'8" tandem just by slotting in an extra section. When used as a solo kayak, it only weights 48,5lbs but can handle a capacity of 265 lbs. Using it as a tandem ups the weight to 77lbs, but also increases the maximum capacity to 530 lbs.

Like the other modular kayaks by Point 65, the Tequila GTX Angler can be taken apart into manageable sections for transport or storage and then quickly reassembled hen needed. This modular design does not affect the handling or stability of the kayak either. In fact, thanks to the tracking keel of the Tequila GTX Angler, you can paddle it in a straight line with no issues.

The Tequila GTX Angler is a fishing kayak, so it comes with all the rod holders you need. In addition to two flush-mounted rod holders that are located behind the seat, this kayak also has a deck mounted rod holder in front of the paddler. Two additional deck mounts are also available for adding more rod holders, or even other equipment. Adding the compatible mid-section to this kayak also provides anglers with more deck mounts.

For comfort, the Tequila GTX Angler is equipped with the AIR seat, which features a pneumatically adjustable backrest. The stern tankwell of this kayak is adequate for storage, but as mentioned earlier, adding the mid-section will also provide more space for stowing gear.

The modular nature of the Tequila GTX Angler makes it one of the most versatile sit-on-top fishing kayaks available on the market. It is also one of the few fishing kayaks that is easy to transport and store, even if you use the tandem version. The fact that it is already fitted for fishing means you don't have to make any special modifications to the kayak before you can get out on the water and fish. Overall, the Tequila GTX Angler is an excellent choice for anyone interested in kayak fishing, but without the storage space for a huge kayak. Since the Tequila GTX Angler can literally be stored under your bed definitely makes it a game-changer for anyone without a garage or large storage area or even those who own smaller vehicles.
