The Quantum 124 by Future Beach is an affordable fishing kayak that is aimed at anglers in search of something basic, but reliable. It is 124" long and 29.5" wide, with a width of about 50 lbs and offers a maximum weight capacity of approximately 275 lbs. The Quantum 124 is a sit-in angler kayak that is designed to be used by one person and provides a relatively smooth angling experience, provided that you stick to calm waters.

Although it doesn't feature a wealth of extras, the Quantum 124 does have everything that you need to get yourself and your gear out on the water for a great day of fishing. It was designed with a multi-channel blowmolded hull to ensure that it can provide not just performance, but enough stability as well. The cockpit size is about 20.5" x 39" so it is spacious and allows for easy entry. It also features a comfortable backrest and seat bottom, so you can enjoy more time out on the water fishing. The back rest can be adjusted and the seat cushion is removable, so you can replace it with something else if you prefer. The Quantum 124 also comes with an adjustable StepLock foot rest system and thigh pads, which are nice features to have if you plan on spending long stretches of time in the kayak.

In terms of storage, the Quantum 124 has a 10" round bow hatch, along with a 10" x 10" stern hatch. In addition, the kayak has paddle tie down and rear bungees for extra convenience. The storage hatches also comes with dry bags to keep your valuables safe. Although the Quantum 124 does not have a swivel rod holder, it does feature two flush mount rod holders that are situated just behind the cockpit. In addition, this kayak has front and rear carry handles, an integrated rear drain plug, and a molded-in cup holder.

Although the Quantum 124 is by no means a bad kayak, there is just nothing spectacular about it. If you don't have anything against sit inside kayaks and don't need all of the extras that come with most fishing kayaks, then this one should offer decent value for money. Just be aware that there are better options available on the market.
