Anglers who are fans of Jackson Kayak should be familiar with their Cuda series. The Cuda kayaks have been best sellers for the company, so it is no surprise that they wanted to use its success for the Liska. With the Jackson Kayak Liska, anglers are basically getting a fully updated and modern version of the Cuda. The name of this kayak is actually a tribute to Jan Liska, the European Jackson Kayak fishing team manager who tragically lost his life in an avalanche a few years back while skiing.

The Liska is 12'1 in length and 34" wide, which means it is wider as well as more stable than the Cuda series. The wider hull it not just more stable as a standing platform, but also useful for larger anglers or novices. This is also why the Liska has a full standing pad for sight fishing and casting. With the Liska, Jackson Kayak has designed a fishing kayak that provides everything that novice kayak anglers need, but with all the features that will pique the interest of experienced anglers too. This kayak weighs 84 pounds, but can hold a total capacity of 400 pounds. The kayak now features Jackson's Ergo Seat that has MOLLE compatible webbing on the rear. There are already a number of MOLLE compatible attachments available, which gives you plenty of options when it comes to customizing it.

For storage, the Liska has a hinged center hatch where you can easily integrate a fish finder without losing any floor space. It even has a track on top of the cover where you can mount additional accessories if desired. You'll find a large hatch at the front of the kayak, which has an easy to open knob for accessing the interior of the kayak. Of course, there's plenty of space in the rear as well, along with bungees to keep things secured. On either side of the stern tankwell, as well as the seat, you will find a gear track where you can add even more track-based accessories. One thing you won't have to worry about is rod holders as the Liska has four flush mount ones that are within easy reach as well as a rotating one up front. All the rest of the usual features, such as ergonomic handles and a molded in paddle holder are also included.

Improving on a classic like the Cuda series could not have been an easy task for Jackson Kayak, but the Liska definitely lives up to the legacy of its fore-bearers.
