Sevylor Quikpak K5 1-Person Kayak

Quikpak K5

Length (ft):

With the Quikpak K5, Sevylor promised a 1-person kayak that will allow you to go from backpack to kayak in as little as five minutes. We have seen a couple of inflatable kayaks that are compact enough to simply stow away on the back seat of your car, but the Quikpak takes this to a whole new level. It features a 24-guage PVC construction, along with a rugged tarpaulin bottom as well as thick polyester cover. The result is an inflatable kayak that is durable enough to handle just about any lake. Sevylor has even found a way to turn the easy-to-carry backpack system into the seat of the kayak, which is quite practical and very convenient.

Punctures are always a concern with inflatable kayaks, but the Quikpak is rugged enough that this shouldn't be too much of a worry. In the event that something does get ruptured on this kayak it is not a complete disaster either as it has multiple air chambers. This means that you should still be able to make it back to shore without getting wet in order to work on repairs. The Airtight system of this kayak is guaranteed not to leak and the Quikpak makes use of Double Lock valves for easy inflation as well as deflation. It even has spray covers to keep you dry by blocking splashes and secure storage areas with bungees to keep items safe. You can use the D-rings on this kayak for attaching other equipment. In total, the Quikpak is able to hold up to 250 lbs and it measures 10 ft in length. It includes a hand pump and paddle, but use the money you save by buying this kayak to get a better paddle.

While the Quikpak is never going to be able to compete with serious, rigid fishing kayaks when it comes to features, it definitely has plenty of pros and will come in very handy for anglers who are unable to transport larger, heavier kayaks. Since this kayak is not just comfortable, but also very stable, it works well as a fishing vessel.
