Third Coast Huron Sit In Angler Kayak

Kayak Make & Model

Model:
Huron 100
MSRP ($):
599.00
Length (ft):
10

Compact, durable and comfortable. These are three words that perfectly describe what the Huron 100 from Third Coast Paddlesports have to offer. In fact, with a price tag of less than $600, it can also be described as budget friendly. At only 10' on length, it is not the biggest or baddest fishing kayak on the block, but for solo anglers this is still plenty of space for some angling. It also only weighs 300 lbs, which is a bonus if you spend more time on the water than in the gym lifting weights.

Ask any Huron 100 owner what their favorite part of the kayak is and they will probably tell you that it is the comfort. A lot of this is thanks to the way in which Third Coast Paddlesports have designed the seat of the Huron 100. In cheaper kayaks, it is almost always the seat that gives you issues, but this isn't an issue here. Instead, you get a comfortable seat, which includes two types of cushions, along with a pull strap system. You not only get a customized fit, but the cushions also provides back support as well as comfort. For a 10' kayak, the Huron 100 is also quite stable, which is probably due to its width, which is 30". Another nice feature of this kayak that definitely contributes to the comfort is the protective thigh pads it has along with the adjustable foot braces.

With its molded polyethylene construction, the Huron 100 is quite durable and the design definitely helps with tracking as well. While 10' might not allow for a lot of storage, the Huron 100 is still able to provide plenty of space for the average angler. It comes with no less than three rod holders, two of which are flush mounts, while the final one is able to swivel. The Huron 100 also has easy access hatches, with removable bags and it has a stern bulkhead that you can use for your gear. If you need further space, then you will also appreciate the YakAttack mounts on this kayak that can be used for your electronics.

Overall, the Huron 100 is a decent sit-in fishing kayak that has all the essentials at a price that won't leave your wallet too empty.
