There are plenty of fishing kayaks available for people who have serious cash to spend, but what about those who are new to the hobby and unwilling to part with too much money? Pelican believes that they have the answer in the form of their ARGO 100 Angler kayak. Its price tag puts it squarely in the budget category, but it isn't just a cheap fishing kayak. The ARGO 100 Angler also has a couple of neat features that newcomers will really appreciate. It is a 10 foot sit-in fishing kayak that is just big enough for larger paddles, but can still work great for kids as well. It is made from RAM-X impact-resistant material, so it is quite a sturdy kayak to boot. The ARGO 100 Angler is 28 inches wide, has a weight of 38 lb, and a total capacity of 275 lb.

The ARGO 100 features a twin-arched multi chine hull, which offers plenty of stability as well as enough maneuverability to easily get around smaller lakes and rivers. For comfort this kayak has an adjustable ERGOFORM padded backrest with seat cushion as well as adjustable footrests. Pelican has even included a cockpit table with a bottle holder and compartments for your convenience. In terms of extras, the ARGO 100 comes with two flush mount rod holders along with a swivel rod holder. Since this is not a huge kayak, your storage options are a little limited, but you do get a storage hatch with bungee cords in addition to a storage platform with bungee cords. These should provide enough space for a few hours of angling.

If you already own a kayak or two and want to upgrade, then you can safely ignore the Pelican Argo 100 Angler. On the other hand, if you don't have a kayak or you want something inexpensive for your kids to join you on kayak fishing trips, then the Pelican ARGO 100 is definitely worth a closer look. It is a reasonably priced kayak, that gets the job done and doesn't feel cheap, which is a rarity.
