Pelican Kayaks have a solid reputation when it comes to their kayaks and their Pelican Catch 120 NXT is another one that lives up to their high standards. As is evident from the name, this sit-on-top kayak is an evolution of their Catch 120 range and designed to be all you need for your next fishing trip.

The Catch 120 NXT measures in at a respectable 11'8" in length, with a 34" beam and weight of 69 lb. It is able to offer a maximum capacity of 400 lb and features sturdy RAM-X PREMIUM for the hull construction, which is a multi-playerpolyethylene, which is made even more rigid thanks to an advanced resin they use. The result is a kayak that is not just stiffer and stronger, but lighter as well.

Since it is an angling specific kayak, Pelican Kayaks have not skimped on the extra features either for the Catch 120 NXT. It has adjustable footrests for extra comfort, two anti-slip carpets as well as a stand assist strap. The Catch 120 NXT also has three flush mount rod holders, four rigging tracks and accessory eyelets, along with paddle and rod tie-downs. For your storage needs, this kayak has bow and stern quick lock hatches in addition to a storage platform with bungee cords.

One of the nicest features of the Catch 120 NXT is the ERGOCAST G2 dual position seating system. It is very comfortable and can be adjusted to a high or low seating position depending on your needs. For added convenience, the chair also has a storage pouch, a side slot where you can stow away small tools and an opening in the backrest that makes it easy to add additional padding or adjust the lumbar support. The tape measure decal that can be found near the footrest is also a nice touch.

The Catch 120 NXT is not a small kayak, but it tracks quite well and can also be turned with ease. It's not particularly fast, but thanks to the tunnel hull design, it is able to access very shallow water, which is always a plus. The stability of the Catch 120 NXT is also very impressive. Overall, it is really hard to argue with the value for money with this kayak.
