The StraitEdge Angler Pro from Advanced Elements is an inflatable kayak that has been specifically designed with anglers in mind. It is 10'6” long and 38.5” wide with a weight of about 45 lbs. It is designed for a single person and can hold a maximum weight of about 400 lbs. Since the Angler Pro is an angling specific kayak, it comes with plenty of features for the task.

Although the Angler Pro is an inflatable kayak, it solves the issue of flex in the hull with the addition of a frame to the bow and stern. These built-in aluminum ribs help to define the bow and stern, while also improving the tracking of the kayak. To improve the rigidness of the kayak and provide it with more stability, the Angler Pro has a drop-stitch floor construction. As an added bonus this also results in the floor providing a very solid platform for anglers who like to stand while fishing. Advanced Elements also added abrasion pads in high use areas, which further enhances the durability of the kayak. In addition, the Angler Pro has a high backed aluminum framed AirFrame Pro seat, which is great for an inflatable as it makes the task of paddling in comfort much easier. If paddling is not your thing, you are in luck as the Angler Pro is propulsion capable, thanks to a fin box that is designed to hold an ElecraFin motor.

Although the Angler Pro is a compact kayak, it does offer enough space to take along all the essentials. It has paddle holders to keep your paddles secure as well as stainless steel d-rings for a drift anchor and stringer attachment. Additional gear can be stowed away using the front and rear bungee deck lacing with stainless steel d-rings. For further versatility, the Angler Pro has an accessory frame system, which means you have the freedom to mount anything from after-market rod holders to fish finders and other equipment. Finally, the Angler Pro has molded low-profile handles for easy transport.

The bottom line is that the StraitEdge Angler Pro is definitely an improvement over the original Advance Elements Angler kayak and offers a lot more than what is typically expected from an inflatable.
