There is always a risk when buying products from big name brands like Cabela’s that most of the money is simply for the brand and doesn’t reflect the actual quality. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case with their Advanced Anglers 120 Fishing Kayak. The most noticeable thing about the Advanced Anglers 120 is the extra-wide tri-hull design that it sports. It gives the kayak a rather bulky look, so any anglers looking for something sleek will probably not appreciate the Advanced Anglers 120. However, the design does contribute towards the stability and speed of the kayak, so its not a bad trade-off.

The Advanced Anglers 120 Fishing Kayak is 12'2” long and 35” wide, with a weight of about 100 lbs. It can also handle weight of up to 400 lbs, but don’t expect it to be very fast or maneuverable if you get close to that number. A neat feature that this kayak has is its reinforced standing platform, which gives you the opportunity to get out of your seat and get a better view of your surroundings when casting. For extra stability, the four-stage seat on this kayak can be folded completely out of the way in order to create a lean bar. The seat itself is also quite comfortable and the different adjustments are useful for when you switch between paddling and relaxing.

This kayak has a removable console box where you can stow your electronics and batteries or you can use it to stash a couple of tackle boxes. Additional storage can be found on both sides of the seat as well as under it. Finally, you’ll find front and rear bungee-cord secured storage are also available on the Advanced Anglers 120. In addition, this kayak has plenty of options when it comes to placing your accessories, thanks to two front and two rear gear tracks.

While it is not the best looking kayak, the Advanced Anglers 120 Fishing Kayak is not without charm. There are better options available in its price range, but if you are looking for a kayak that is both sturdy and durable it is definitely worth a second look.
