This 10’ inflatable kayak from Elkton Outdoors was designed first and foremost with anglers in mind. It is a great option for anyone on a tight budget or who want to get started with kayak fishing, but lack a vehicle big enough to transport a rigid kayak. Since this kayak is extremely compact when not inflated, it can easily be stowed away in the trunk of your car. Inflating it to a full kayak size is also not a time consuming process as it can be done in a matter of minutes.

Since kayak angling involves sharp objects, this kayak is made from 170guage 1000D PVC, which is rip resistant. It also won’t tear and there’s no need to worry about getting deflated by a fishing hook. It has two adjustable seats for comfort and the package comes complete with double sides oars as well as a foot pump, repair kit and carry bag. The foot pump might sound like a hassle, bit it is more portable and convenient than an electric pump. Since this kayak was designed to be filled with very little air pressure a foot pump is more than up to the task. In the event that adjustments or repairs are necessary, you’ll appreciate that this kayak has three separate air chambers that are all removable.

Just because this is an inflatable kayak, it doesn’t mean you miss out on some of the conveniences of a rigid kayak. Case in point, this kayak has four rod holders, two of which are vertical and four that can be used for trolling. The design of this kayak allows for ample storage as well as it includes six mesh pockets for stowing away your gear.

Overall, this inflatable offering from Elkton Outdoors is a great alternative to traditional fishing kayaks, especially for anglers who don’t have a lot of space to spare. Like most inflatable kayaks, it’s not very fast and the quality of paddles is also not great, but other than that everything works as expected.
