Investing in multiple fishing kayaks for family members can quickly become very expensive, which is why tandem options like the UH-TK29 from Brooklyn Kayak Company can be very useful. It is a 2-person sit on top fishing kayak that is more than just a novelty, but actually offers some real benefits to avid anglers. At 13.1-feet long and 2.0-feet wide, the UH-TK29 make for a very stable fishing platform. The only downside is that it weighs 77 pounds even when empty, but makes up for this with a maximum load capacity of up to 440 pounds.

In addition to providing ample space for you and a fishing partner to get out on the water, the UH-TK29 has a couple of other angling specific features to get excited about. In of these is the way in which the hull features a recessed space where you can easily install a digital fish finder. Any anglers who enjoy taking the guesswork out of finding their next catch will really appreciate this design. The TK29 also features dual watertight storage hatches, both with secure twist lock mechanisms to keep your valuables safe. For additional storage options, this kayak also has a rear cargo area where you can use the included bungee tie-down straps to secure larger items. It would have been nice to see a few more rod holders in this kayak as the TK29 only has two flush-mounted ones. These are great for keeping the rods out of the way when paddling, but a few more adjustable rod holders would have made this kayak even better.

Despite its size, the TK29 is quite a user-friendly kayak since it is easy to steer and virtually impossible to tip. It also includes seats with aluminum frames and padding, which makes them comfortable as well as ergonomic. The TK29 is available in blue, green cammo as well as grey cammo color options and is an affordable option for newcomers in search of a tandem fishing kayak. There are better options available with more features, if you are willing to pay more, and it would be a waste to get if you are a solo angler, but overall it is a very decent kayak.
