Like the shorter Pescador Pro 10, the Pescador Pro 12 is a kayak that is aimed squarely at the folks who take their kayak angling serious. It is a retooled version of the Pescador 12 and all the revamped features makes it a decent upgrade over the original.
This kayak still features a one piece rotomolded construction and is not only stable, but also tracks well on the water. The last thing that you want to worry about when fishing is the seat and with the stadium-style seat that is installed in the Pro 12 this is not a concern.
It has a recessed track so it can be adjusted on the fly and provides comfortable seating in either an upright or reclined position. Proper paddling posture is just as important and this is taken care off by the adjustable footbrace system of the Pro 12.
Instead of the front hatch that was found on the original Pescador, the Pro 12 now features an on deck option that can be enclosed with a bungeed cover. It also features a tankwell that provides sufficient space for your gear, a crate, cooler or whatever else you want to take out on your trip with you. Additionally, you have tackle box storage in front of the seat, a molded in cup holder and two molded in rod holders.
For further customization you can use the YakAttack Gear Trac system that is featured in this kayak to attach your own paddling or fishing accessories. To help you shift the kayak around during transport, it features comfort carry handles on the bow as well as stern and it also has a replaceable skid plate which enhances the durability of the hull. The Pro 12 had a lot to live up to, but this revamped model certainly delivers in all areas where it matters most.
