Kayak Make & Model

Brand:
Native Watercraft
Model:
Manta Ray Angler 12
MSRP ($):
912.00
Length (ft):
12

The Manta Ray Angler promises a stable ride and ideal performance in rivers or flat water. This 12’ model is the most popular length in the range as it features a manageable size along with plenty of speed and enough storage space. Getting on or off is very convenient while still remaining very comfortable thanks to the DVC seating that drains. This kayak also comes complete with two Sea Dog flush mounts along with a deck-mounted paddle holder. In addition, the Tag-Along Wheel makes the process of transporting the kayak over any type of terrain much easier.

Used Manta Ray Angler 12

I picked this kayak up used and I must say I am very pleased with the quality/thickness of the plastic. The hull is shaped well and allows this boat to track rather straight. The reason I say rather is due to the weight. The boat comes in about 20 lbs lighter than the other boats in its class and because of this you will sacrifice some of that straight tracking but on the bright side this boat is super easy to maneuver and load/unload. I would not recommend standing in this boat. The hatches are made well and seal properly. The seat is very comfortable and may be the determining factor when looking at this boat versus another. I have added an anchor trolley system and I recommend you do as well if your going to be fishing in various currents/winds. The foot pegs I have found to be somewhat of a design flaw as they will move if not locked in properly. The pull for each peg needs to be resting in the neutral position and they stay locked in. The track system is a great feature that many will find useful. There is plenty of storage in the front and back and I found that hanging my feet over one side to retrieve gear from behind the seat is easy and I don’t feel like I’m going to tip or anything. This is a very stable kayak and fast with the correct paddle. It also looks good so that’s a plus.
This is a great kayak for the value which can offer years and years of enjoyment.
I LOVE this kayak and I recommend it highly.
