After speaking with Paul Davis from Abu Garcia, it is no surprise that the “Revo Beast” took best Freshwater Reel at the 2014 ICAST New Product Showcase. This low-profile reel is made to handle the big baits that you throw. Alabama rigs, large swimbaits, any other large bait - this baitcaster was made to handle them all. Abu Garcia armed this reel with a 22 lb max drag, and a deeper spool for extra line capacity.

Check out the video below, where Paul walks us through this new product.

You may notice that Paul looks a bit familiar. We found out while chatting that he is the owner and creator of Palmetto Kayak Fishing - http://palmettokayakfishing.com/ Be sure to check out his site, and let him know that his friends at YakAngler.com sent you his way.

Glad you enjoyed our coverage of ICAST. Our videographer is working feverishly on our coverage of Outdoor Retailer from last week so there will be lots more content coming this way.
